Vestas Secures Major Orders at the End of 2024 and Early 2025

Vestas has received numerous orders across the globe as 2024 concluded and 2025 began. From large-scale projects in North America to key offshore developments in Europe, the company continues to play a major role in the renewable energy sector.

Vestas has announced a series of significant orders at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, reinforcing its position in the global wind energy market.

Orders in North America:

  • A 270 MW project with deliveries scheduled from Q1 2026.
  • Two additional projects, each with a capacity of 203 MW, slated for delivery in Q3 2026 and 2027.

Orders in Europe:

  • France: A 50 MW project.
  • Spain: A 59 MW project and a 99 MW repowering project for Iberdrola.
  • Italy: A 26 MW project.
  • Germany: Part of the 719 MW in total European orders reported.

Offshore Projects:

  • A conditional 1,100 MW contract for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland.
  • A 795 MW order for the OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.
  • A deal to supply 112 turbines (15 MW each) for the Nordlicht 1 and 2 offshore projects in the German North Sea.

Other International Orders:

  • Japan: Orders totaling 408 MW, including a 34 MW wind farm in Shiroishi Kosugo.
  • Australia, South Africa, and Guatemala: Unspecified projects.

In total, Vestas reported orders amounting to 2,334 MW in just the last two weeks of 2024. Despite this strong finish, the company’s total orders in Q4 2024 amounted to 5.9 GW, falling short of the previous year’s figures.
