USA - American Electric Technologies (AETI) formally enters wind power market
Houston-based American Electric Technologies (AETI) announced its formal entry into the wind power market at tthe American Wind Energy Association Windpower 2008 Conference and Exhibition. President of AETI's M&I Electric business Charles Dauber said, "We are leveraging our power distribution and control technology, our 60 years of technical expertise, and our construction and services capabilities to enable the wind power industry to reach its maximum potential."
As part of its wind power initiative, AETI announced the construction of a new wind farm in West Texas and the hiring of Gary Collins as wind farm construction manager. Collins has previously worked on the Woodward Mesa and King Mountain wind farms for Renewable Energy Systems and was involved with the construction of transmission lines and distribution systems for American Electric Power's Trent Mesa and Delaware Mountain wind farms.
