STEAG Sells Romanian Wind Farm Crucea to Local Energy Supplier

In connection with a strategic realignment, STEAG is selling its Romanian onshore wind farm Crucea to renewable energy producer Hidroelectrica. The company intends to focus on project development and the provision of operational services with a focus on the French wind energy market.

The sale was preceded by a competitive process involving both local and international bidders. The transaction will be completed in accordance with the relevant contract.

Romanian company Hidroelectrica is focused on diversifying its production by adding high-quality renewable energy capacity to its portfolio, as part of the company's recently approved development strategy. The company reaffirms its goal to remain 100% green throughout the portfolio diversification process.

The Crucea wind farm, developed by STEAG and commissioned in 2014, is one of the most modern and best maintained onshore wind farms in Romania, with an installed capacity of 108 megawatts.
