Windfair: Is the Wind Energy Industry a priority for your company? How so?

Peter Wistritschnik: Since many years Kuvag Isola is supplier of GRP-tubes for Wind Power Systems. These tubes, manufactured in filament-winding-technology, are used as electrical insulating interface in wind power couplings and are constantly gaining importance. This fact together with the high growth potential of the Wind Power market results in the high significance of this product group for our company.

Windfair: How many employees does your company have? How many dedicated to Wind Energy?

Peter Wistritschnik: Kuvag Isola Düren, Germany is part of the Austrian based Kuvag Group with further production facilities in Austria, Tchec Republic and China. Slightly more than 50 employees are working at the moment in the German factory in Düren, but because of the growing demand for Wind Power components, the number is steadily increasing. Because of the complex, multi-stage production process of the products, most of the production divisions are involved in the completion.

Windfair: Do you have any new or upcoming wind energy products or services?

Peter Wistritschnik: Kuvag Isola as a partner of component manufacturers for Wind Power Systems is steadily stipulated to watch for modifications in technology, raw materials and processes and has to implement these changes into the permanent further development of its own products. Out of this, new products are developed customized, in close cooperation with the partner, adapted to the special requirements.

Windfair: Do you have any special training program for your employees?

Peter Wistritschnik: Yes, as the production processes at Kuvag Isola are specific and complex, we train our employees internally and further educate them in customised external training courses to become the specialists needed to implement the high quality standards of the components for Wind power couplings.

Windfair: Tell us about your future developments. What can we expect in the next year or two?

Peter Wistritschnik: Kuvag Isola is well aware of the rapid development of the Wind Power market and is ready to follow this expansion in regard of technology with innovations and steady development of its products, as well as in regard of increase of production capacities with investment in new equipment. Kuvag Isola intends not only to secure its position as high quality supplier of components for Wind Power Systems but also to strengthen it actively.
