PRÜFTECHNIK AG: PRÜFTECHNIK introduces LEVALIGN® expert a motorized rotating laser system for leveling and flatness measurements
Ismaning 10 June 2011, PRÜFTECHNIK Alignment Systems announces the availability of LEVALIGN expert, a new leveling and flatness system based on the ROTALIGN Ultra Expert World platform.
LEVALIGN expert has been found extremely useful in solving problems related to flatness and parallelism of wind tower segment flanges, levelness of machinery and other foundations, flatness and straightness measurements within the shipbuilding industry, levelness of reference surfaces and bases and surface profiles.
"The many measurements carried out during the field test and pre-launch period proved that PRÜFTECHNIK has once again developed an industrial tool required by OEMs and the maintenance industry,” said Michael Stolze, the managing director of PRÜFTECHNIK Alignment Systems. “But more important than that, LEVALIGN expert is a tool that will help industry reduce costs due to its quick one-man operation."
The measuring system consists of the motorized LEVALIGN expert laser and a sensor wireless communicating with the proven ROTALIGN Ultra computer. It requires only a single operator to measure large vertical and horizontal surfaces.
The leveling and flatness applications run on the ROTALIGN Ultra platform giving current ROTALIGN Ultra users a distinct upgrade advantage without the extra cost of a new ROTALIGN Ultra computer.
LEVALIGN expert is self-leveling making it suitable for determining levelness. The system possesses a long measurement range combined with a large surface area sensor detector. These characteristics guarantee straightforward use when measuring objects with large surface areas. Its ability to emit a laser beam in two perpendicular planes makes it ideal for measuring parallelism and other advanced applications.
