Exhibition Ticker - Canadian Wind Energy Association Launches 26th Annual Conference

The Canadian Wind Energy Association's 26th Annual Conference and Exhibition - CanWEA 2010 - will be held in Montreal, Quebec, November 1 - 3 at the Montreal Congress Center

The Canadian Wind Energy Association's 26th Annual Conference and Exhibition - CanWEA 2010 - will be held in Montreal, Quebec, November 1 - 3 at the Montreal Congress Center.

Canada's largest renewable energy event will feature a wide range of experts from the wind energy industry in Canada and from around the world.

The exhibition hall will feature over 250 organizations involved in wind turbines manufacturing, development and support services, and will provide participants with excellent networking opportunities and forums to discuss the latest developments in Canada's growing wind power industry.

Who: CanWEA's 26th Annual Conference and Exhibition will bring together over 2,500 international delegates to this three day conference.

When: November 1 - 3, 2010

Where: Montreal Congress Center

Montreal, Quebec

Why: Wind Energy is the fastest growing new source of energy in the US and the European Union. Canada is projected to end 2010 with 754 MW of new wind farm capacity - representing $1.7 billion in new investment; this will bring Canada's total installed wind power capacity to 4,073 MW, enough power to meet the needs of over 1.4 million homes annually.

How: For full access to the media centre, plenary sessions, presentation venues, workshops and tradeshow floor, media representatives are asked to complete the application for accreditation at: www.canwea.ca/events/conference2010/media_e.php.

General public is invited to visit the exhibit center on Wednesday, November 3 from 9am to 12:30pm. Advanced registration for the general public is not required. Cost of entry is $20 per person.
