New study: Germany can become CO₂-neutral profitably, socially fair and without increasing the national debt.

The new study by the Energy Watch Group shows: there is a path to a CO₂-neutral Germany that is financially rewarding for citizens and businesses.

Key Results:

The energy costs for citizens and companies decrease by €50 billion per year. Household income and companies' added value increase by €110 billion per year, boosting the gross national product by 2.5%. Government revenues increase by net €8 billion per year, the national debt does not increase In the rapidly growing clean tech sector, Germany's international competitiveness increases

The roadmap’s content can be utilized to establish strong climate protection in the upcoming coalition agreement, as it addresses key concerns of the CDU/CSU (profitable, no increase of the national debt), the SPD (socially fair, protecting and creating jobs), and the Greens (reliable path to CO₂-neutrality).
