Algeria - First wind fram
The first Algerian wind energy farm, with a 10MW output, will be built in the southwestern city of Adrar by French group Vergnet.
Vergenet won the contract for the project, ahead of its main competitor, the German Ferrostaal Group, thanks to a responsive bid with competitive total investment cost and cost per kilowatt-hour of energy output.
Vergnet's winning bid proposed a total investment of 3.05 billion Algerian Dinars (AD) and 9,620 AD per kW/h, whereas Ferrostaal considered an investment of 4.92 billion AD and 13,283 AD per kW/h.
