Argentina - IADB is evaluating the financing of three wind farms for 210 MW
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is considering the possibility of financing part of the construction of three wind farms in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Chubut and Santa Cruz, 30 MW, 60 MW and 120 MW respectively.
If these projects, in preparation stage, are successful; the multilateral agency would provide US$ 80 million of a total of US$ 550 million budgeted, said the IDB in a statement.
The launch of these parks would add 210 MW wind power to interconnect system (SADI) of a country that currently only has 31 MW installed wind power, but has shown enormous potential and intentions of developing it.
The Argentina stands by its huge wind potential.
