Canada - AAER Delivers First of Two Turbines to Windland Inc.

AAER Inc., Canada’s only original equipment manufacturer of wind turbines of 1 megawatt (“MW”) and more, announced today that it has shipped the first of two 1.5 MW wind turbines to Windland Inc. (“Windland”) for their wind farm project in Tehachapi, California. The agreement to supply Windland with two 1.5 MW wind turbines was announced in April 2008.

“Since the commissioning of our Bromont, Quebec manufacturing facility in the fourth quarter of 2008, we continue to deliver our production plan and we are proud to have shipped the third turbine that was produced from our facility,” said Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of AAER. “We expect to deliver the remaining turbine to Windland during the second quarter of 2009, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our international profile as we fulfill our customer orders in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

In addition to the turbine sales agreement, worth approximately US$4.2 million plus shipping cost, AAER also entered into an extended warranty, maintenance and service agreement with Windland for a period of five years. The A-1500 turbine is a multi-purpose turbine that can be adapted to various locations and wind conditions and has one of the lowest weights to kW ratios in the industry.
