Mexico - Spanish company interested in developing a wind energy project
The company "Energías Alternas de México", subsidiary of a Spanish firm, has already initiated actions to determine the wind potential and thus develop a wind power generation project in the region of Juarez.
First, they determined to install a measurement tower to assess the strength of the wind, and if their results are positive, they would be installing in a first stage, a wind farm with 50 turbines.
So far, they have advanced with the signing of a contract for use of land including a thousand hectares, with the communal landowners of that area, which was signed at the National Agrarian Registry. They expect that at the end of the year, the study results in favorable conclusions to develop the project.
