Chile/Argentina - Agreement signed for wind power generation.
This is the first bi-national agreement between Chile and Argentina that includes the installation of a wind farm that will supply energy in the project "Pascua Lama" (Pascua by the Chilean side, and Lama by the Argentinean side) for mine exploitation.
The farm will be located in the community La Higuera, IV Region of Chile, and will have 20 wind turbines, through an investment of U 100 million.
The company that will develop the project is the mining firm Barrick Gold, which in turn was found very interested in the environmental care, through the creation of a sustainable and clean energy source, as wind power.
