Spain - Gamesa wins 295 MW China wind farm orders
Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa said that it has received orders to supply 295 megawatts of power generating capacity to wind farms in China in 2009.
In a statement, Gamesa said it will supply Chinese renewables energy group Longyuan Electric Power Group Corp. with 347 wind turbines manufactured at its plants in Tianjin.
The orders from Longyuan, owned by China's largest electricity firm Guodian Corp., include supervising the installation of the wind turbines and their operation, as well as a two-year operating and maintenance contract.
