REpower agrees upon projects about 306 MW in total with the clients Eolfi and Scottish and Southern Energy
Hamburg, 19 December 2007. REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) has concluded contracts to deliver wind energy turbines for projects in Europe with a total output of 306 megawatts (MW).
After delivery contracts about 41 turbines of the 2-megawatt class have successfully come into effect, belonging to a first framework agreement with the project developer Eolfi – a subsidiary of the global leader in environmental solutions, Veolia Environnement – a second framework agreement about the delivery of a total of 84 wind energy turbines (MM92 type, total rated power 168 MW) with the same client in France has just been concluded for various projects. The delivery period is from 2009 to 2010.
All projects will be executed by the French REpower subsidiary REpower S.A.S. in Paris. The company distributes, erects and maintains all turbine types of the REpower multi-megawatt class in France.
For the UK client Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), a reservation agreement for 69 turbines has been concluded. The delivery of wind energy turbines of the REpower MM82 type for various wind farms in Scotland is planned during the period from the end of 2008 until the first quarter of 2010. The REpower MM series comprises turbines with a rated power of two MW each.
SSE in conjunction with Talisman Energy UK has a 50 per cent stake in the offshore project “Beatrice” for which REpower successfully installed two of its offshore wind power plants of the 5M type in the Scottish North Sea.
Due to these agreements with a total rated power of 306 MW, with these major clients REpower will already have a good start into the next two years.
