India - CLP and Enercon to jointly set up 100 MW wind farm in Gujarat
CLP India said it signed an agreement with wind turbine maker Enercon (India) Ltd, a unit of Enercon GmbH, to develop a 100.8 MegaWatt wind farm in Gujarat, India at a cost of more than 125 mln USD.
CLP India, which is held by CLP Holdings, is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based CLP Group. Work on the wind farm, called Samana Project, will likely begin in Nov 2007 and is expected to be complete by Jan 2009, the company said in a release. The wind farm will involve the building of more than 126 wind turbines of 800 KW capacity each, CLP India said.
