- Order for wind farm in Victoria/Australia about 46 MW

Hamburg, 9 August 2007. REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) continues to expand into international core markets: the company has received several orders from Italy and Australia to deliver 2-megawatt wind turbines with a total output of 160 MW.

REpower has signed the following agreements for projects in Italy: for the customer Veronagest, REpower will deliver 24 wind turbines for the “Mazara del Vallo” wind farm in the Trapani province of Sicily. Construction of 13 MM82 turbines and 11 MM92 turbines is scheduled to begin in May 2008 and to be completed by the end of 2008.

In an agreement with the project developer Ordona Energia S.r.l., a subsidiary of the stock-listed investment company Alerion Industries, REpower is to supply 17 MM92 turbines for a wind farm near Foggia (in the southern Italian province of Apulia). Construction work is scheduled to start in August 2008 and be completed by February 2009.

The third project, Scampitella, is in the southern Italian Campania region and involves 16 MM92 wind turbines. The customer is Foster Wheeler Milan, an internationally operating stock-listed company for mechanical and systems engineering and project management. The company is also a power equipment supplier. Construction is set to begin in spring 2008 and to be completed by the first quarter of 2009.

The Italian REpower subsidiary, REpower Italia S.r.l., is in charge of implementing the projects in Italy. REpower Italia has installed one MM82 in Sicily up to now, while the company has a further 25 turbines in Apulia, southern Italy, where a REpower service and maintenance centre is also located. Another centre is to be opened in Sicily in mid-2008.

Furthermore, REpower has been commissioned by the Australian company Pacific Hydro Pty Ltd. to deliver 23 MM82 wind turbines for a wind farm in the southern Australian state of Victoria. Pacific Hydro is one of the largest Australian companies for wind and water power. The wind farm is named “Cape Nelson South” and will be erected near the coastal town of Portland. Construction for the “Cape Nelson” project is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2008 and to be completed by the middle of 2009.

Last year, REpower received the order for the second phase of the so-called Portland project, “Cape Bridgewater” wind farm (58 MW). REpower is represented on the red continent by its subsidiary REpower Australia Pty. Ltd.
