Vena Energy Announces the Construction of Japan’s Tallest Wind Turbines at the Groundbreaking Ceremony in Aomori Prefecture
Vena Energy, one of Asia-Pacific’s leading independent power producers (IPP), announced today the commencement of construction for the company’s first wind project in Japan, the “Nakasato” Wind Project in the Aomori Prefecture.
With an installed capacity of 47 MW and a total power sales output of 36 MW, the Nakasato Wind Project will feature wind turbines with a hub height of up to 116.5 meters, making them the tallest wind turbines in Japan to date. “We are excited to bring our wind energy experience and sustainability practices into Japan with the Nakasato Wind Project, and to support the Government of Japan’s goals in increasing the share of wind energy in the generation mix over the next decade” said Juan Mas Valor, Head of Vena Energy Japan at... ...
