Vestas Surpasses Milestone in Poland

Turbine manufacturer Vestas has received a 166 MW order for two wind farms awarded at the Polish wind-solar-energy auction in December 2019. With this order, Vestas surpasses the 1 GW milestone of onshore wind energy projects in Poland since the country introduced its auction scheme in 2018. The order reinforces Vestas’ leadership in the country’s wind energy sector, where it has installed more than 2.1 GW, accounting for a 36 percent market share.

The Debnica Kazubska and the Bialy Bor wind farms will comprise six and 42 V126-3.45 MW turbines respectively.
