eologix equips 51 Enercon wind turbines with blade-based ice detection system eologix:safe
Enercon has signed a contract with the Austrian utility Energie Burgenland to supply 51 wind turbines with a total capacity of 212MW.
The various Enercon wind turbines in different performance classes are to be installed in seven wind farms which are planned for Burgenland. Construction of the majority of the projects resulting from this cooperation is scheduled to start this summer. eologix sensor technology gmbh, market leader for ice detection systems in Austria, will equip all wind turbines with their eologix:safe system in these projects. eologix:safe signals a safety relevant stop due to icing on the blades according to the DNV-GL certification.
