Kazakhstan - Pilot wind-driven electric power station planned
This year Kazakhstan plans proceeding to construction of a pilot wind-driven electric power station with capacity up to 5 MW, Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bolat Akchulakov made it public in the course of the seminar on Prospects for Kazakhstan energy regeneration. Kazakhstan wind-power potential is measured up to more than 1.8 trillion kWh per annum, the experts say. The most promising regions for windmill application are Shelek corridor and Dzhungarian Gates.
