Technostrobe Eyes European Wind Market

Technostrobe, a specialist of obstruction lighting for telecommunications towers and wind farms, has bought a majority stake in the Dutch company ITO Navaids producing navigation aids for the marine industry.

This is Technostrobe's first acquisition since the company has been founded in 2001. Technostrobe intends to grow in Europe while acquiring new technologies that could open the door to a whole new field of offshore wind activity.

Founded by Guy Buisson, Technostrobe manufactures lighting systems for structures that pose a threat to aviation. Examples include radio towers, wireless communication towers and wind turbines. With 35 employees, the company is now the largest in its industry in Canada and the fourth largest in North America.
