Amazon Wind Farm US East Brings Wind Energy to North Carolina

Spanning farm fields in Pasquotank and Perquimans counties, the Amazon Wind Farm US East, powered by Avangrid Renewables at Desert Wind, is now the first commercial-scale wind farm in North Carolina and one of the first in the southeastern United States.

The facility reached full commercial operation this month and began delivering power in December 2016.
