Poland: Comprehensive terminal contract

Kim Thygesen from Blue Water Lindo is responsible for the project in Szczecin.
The gantry crane, which is more than 120 metres high, has a lifting capacity of 1,400 tons. Blue Water will be responsible for operating the crane as well as all SPMTs (Self-Propelled-Modular-Transporters which are often used to move the large components on the site.
"The services we provide here are among our core competences, and we see great opportunities for us to provide this service in other key locations in Europe in the future", says Brian Sørensen.
Bilfinger Mars Offshore provides offshore foundations to the wind industry. The production site in Szczecin is designed for serial production of jackets, jacket components, transition pieces and monopiles for water depths up to 60 metres and will in full operation produce more than 120.000 tons of steel annually.
