UK: Power to the people

Melanie Rogers, our local communications officer, was on site to record this.  “I have been working on the project for over four years so to witness the turbines producing their first kilowatt is such an exciting experience.”

Two of the fifteen turbines are now generating electricity with the remaining 13 to follow shortly after.

If you look to the South Eastern corner of our wind farm  you will see the first two turbines spinning (assuming there is wind of course).   It is a lovely sight – maybe moreso for the Kentish Flats Extension project team who have worked round the clock to bring the project home.
