Exhibition Ticker - “Small Wind – Success Stories from all over the World” Husum, Germany, 20-22 March 2014
The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and New Energy Husum are pleased to invite all small wind stakeholders to participate in the 5th World Summit for Small Wind (WSSW 2014), taking place in Husum/Germany on 20, 21 and 22 March 2014, during the New Energy Husum 2014 trade fair.
The summit is aimed at presenting and discussing the framework and conditions in which small scale projects have been developed successfully. This includes not only legal framework and financial schemes but technology application, project development and community involvement/benefits.
The World Summit is the perfect meeting place for experts, policy makers, interested individuals, providers, manufacturers and supply industries from the small-scale wind turbine sector from all over the world. You will have the opportunity to visit the New Energy Husum trade fair, a space for all types of renewable energy and the leading trade fair for small-scale wind turbine technology.
Abstracts are invited on issues within the scope of the topic of the summit and they should fulfill the following requirements:
Case study of a completed project:
• Describe all the stages of the project presented
• Describe the impacts and benefits for the community
• Describe the legal and financial framework
• Describe the role of the stakeholders of the project
• Describe the technology used in the project
In addition, abstracts are also invited on:
• National and international policies for small wind
• Small wind standards and certification schemes

Saturday, 22 March 2014 (free admission):
The 3rd day of the summit will only showcase success stories from Germany. An opportunity for all the visitors of the New Energy Fair to learn everything about the development of small scaled projects in Germany. Project stakeholders, installers, manufacturers and the small wind community in general are invited to present interesting small wind case studies to the visitors.
Abstracts format:
The abstract should be concise and clearly summarize the requirements listed above. They should not exceed 800 words and should contain a list of key words. Please submit electronic copy (in doc format)of your abstract (not exceeding two A4 pages) by 15 December 2013 to:
