Governor Mike Beebe of Arkansas blames Congress for Nordex closing its plant in Jonesboro
Governor Mike Beebe is not amused – to say the least – about German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex leaving the state of Arkansas due to the unclear situation of the PTC in the United States. This causes at least 40 people losing their jobs and the state of Arkansas one of the big names of the industry.
Beebe blames the US Congress for only extending the PTC for one year. Nobody wants to invest in such an uncertain climate, AWEA states.
