juwi Windenergy News: Norbert Müller Strengthens the Supervisory Board of the juwi AG

Consolidation and concentration on the core business – within the past year the juwi group refocused and prepared for the future. The firm goal was and is: To promote the expansion of renewable energies faster and even more successful. To stay on target, the juwi group brought additional know-how and economical expertise into its supervisory board. Since the beginning of this year Norbert Müller strengthens the control committee of the juwi AG (formerly juwi Holding AG).

The 69-year-old commercial expert brings along a lot of experience: Over many years, he headed the Rittal International GmbH & Co. KG as CEO. Rittal is a company with more than 11,000 employees worldwide. Its headquarters is located in Herborn, central Hesse. Today Müller works as postgraduate university lecturer for international management. Furthermore, he is the managing director and owner of the management consulting firm advacon GmbH & Co. KG.

Norbert Müller succeeds Dr. Claudia Jung, who left the supervisory board with the turn of the year. In the future he will jointly supervise the German energy company with Professor Norbert Willenbacher and management expert Johannes Berg.
Concerning his motivation, it is definitely the company juwi in itself that attracts him, says Norbert Müller. “For as long as I have been watching juwi, I am fascinated by the company. The business concept is exceptional, the success is exceptional and the corporate culture is exceptional. What I have always found quite remarkable about juwi are its highly competent, comprehensive solutions in the most interesting – and at the same time most controversial – market environment of energy generation and supply. Matthias Willenbacher, CEO and together with Fred Jung founder of the juwi group, is pleased to welcome Müller to the supervisory board since the latter is not only a very experienced manager but also a connoisseur of renewable energies. “Norbert Müller brings a lot of valuable know-how into our company. Between 1961 and 2008 he worked for Rittal, where he contributed to the buildup and development of the company. Furthermore, he contributed considerably to the internationalisation of Rittal. Today the company has 60 foreign subsidiaries. These experiences are very helpful to the juwi group – we are also on our way to internationalisation. Hence Norbert Müller is a good choice for us.”
