News Release from Walter Stauffenberg GmbH & Co. KG
Wind Industry Profile of

One type of clamp for various cable diameters
Not all cables are the same. The diameter varies depending on the type and manufacturer. Stauff have developed a clamp with uniform outside dimensions to fit cables ranging from 20 mm to 26 mm or from 24 mm to 38 mm. This double clamp can take two individual cables making it especially suitable for direct-current installations and ideal for laying cables in wind power towers. This clamp is available in a variety of plastics, including materials with fire retardant properties. One example of this is PPV0, which has been tested acc. to UL 94 (Vertical Burning Test) and is classified in V0, meaning that it can be used for fire protection purposes without restriction. This clever solution, which simplifies the work for the engineer and the erector as well as reducing the expenditure on procurement and warehousing, is exhibited at the HusumWindEnergy in Hall 1, Stand F04.
