Schaeffler Technologies Wins Goldwind “2011 Excellent Supplier Award”
The Schaeffler Group has been awarded as Excellent Supplier 2011 by Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd., an internationally recognized wind turbine manufacturer headquartered in China. This honor is an indication of Schaeffler’s leading position in the Chinese wind power industry.
The award is a further endorsement of Schaeffler’s top product quality and premium service following last year’s “2010 Technology Cooperation Award”. It was presented during Goldwind’s 3rd Supplier Conference held in Beijing on January 7, 2012. Schaeffler was the only bearing company to receive an Excellent Supplier Award, the highest accolade bestowed on suppliers by Goldwind.
The Schaeffler Group’s Industrial Division has over 30 years of experience in the wind power industry, developing and manufacturing a full range of bearing solutions for wind turbines. Schaeffler is also the first bearing manufacturer to have established a professional sales and technical support team in China and to have initiated close cooperation with almost all the major wind turbine manufacturers there.
The collaboration between Schaeffler and Goldwind goes far beyond bearings. It also encompasses the fields of wind turbine condition monitoring, simulation calculation, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), market development and management as well as linear product development and linear applications.
