1.0) The Next Step: The REpower 6M Offshore Wind Power Plant:
Is it possible to increase the yields of an offshore wind power plant by 15 percent without having to change its dimensions? It is. The solution to this challenge is to constantly refine the plants existent technology for maximum optimization. Following this principle, our engineers have used the proven 5M wind turbine as a basis for designing the 6M offshore model – and have thus developed a wind turbine with a nominal power of 6.15 megawatts and a rotor diameter of 126 meters that ranks among the most powerful offshore wind power plants in the world.

1.1) Redundant Components to Prevent Wind Turbine Downtimes:
To deliver an optimal performance out on the open sea the 6M wind turbine has been designed to match the challenges of large offshore wind farms and deep waters. Many of its components feature a redundant design, thus increasing its availability. Various sensors ensure that any failure is detected and fixed as quickly as possible. In case of maintenance, the 6M’s spacious design allows for maximum comfort to ensure quick repairs.

1.2) A Powerful Electrical System:
The REpower 6M is not only groundbreaking in terms of reliability and maintenance. An advanced cooling system for the generator enables the offshore wind power plant to deliver a continuous capacity of 6 megawatts. The refined electrical system guarantees a long lifespan and highest yields at minimal operating costs.

1.3) The Advantages of Offshore Wind Power Plants:
• Significantly higher yield due to more constant and higher wind speed

3. REPOWER'S 3.4M104 WIND TURBINE:
3.0) The REpower 3.4M104: The Advanced Onshore Wind Power Plant:
The combination of onshore and offshore experience has led to the development of an entirely new generation of wind power plants: the the REpower 3.XM series. Since 2008 REpower 3.4M104 has been fulfilling the onshore wind energy market’s demands for more powerful and advanced wind turbines.

3.1) Wind Power Plant Versions for High and Low Wind Conditions:
Originally the 3.4 megawatt wind power plant was developed for high-wind onshore locations (IEC IB to IEC IIA). Here, its rotor surface of 8,495 m2 and hub heights between 78 and 100 meters are highly efficient. To make the REpower 3.4M104 suitable for low-wind sites as well we also offer this onshore wind power plant with a hub height of 128 meters. Even difficult terrain, e.g. forests or hills can thus be exploited for optimal yields.

3.2) Hybrid Tower vs. Steel Tower:
The hybrid towers used for this consist of prefabricated segments of steel and reinforced concrete. The big advantage: transport and installation can be handled with conventional equipment. With a hub height of 100 meters, this makes a hybrid tower more cost-efficient than steel towers – and makes REpower the first wind turbine manufacturer to exploit new onshore locations.

3.3) The 3.4M104 Onshore Wind Power Plant in Operation:
- Südermarsch, Germany (2009)
- Ciney, Belgium (2011)
- Clauen, Germany (2011)
- Klanxbüll, Germany (2011)

4) REPOWER'S 3.2M114 WIND TURBINE:
4.0) The REpower 3.2M114: The Next Generation of Onshore Wind Turbines:
The basis: the approved technology of the REpower 3.4M104. The difference: a wider rotor diameter. The onshore wind turbine 3.2M114 is an extension of our powerful and technologically advanced 3.XM series. The 3.2 megawatt wind power plant has been optimized for low-wind locations (IEC IIIA). Here, its rotor surface of more than 10.000 m2 helps to increase the energy yield by up to 10 percent compared to the REpower 3.4M104.

4.1) REpower Onshore Wind Turbines: Groundbreaking in New Locations:
It is our aim to provide customers with the optimal wind power plant for every location. For this reason we offer the 3.2M114 in different variations, just like its precursor: as a steel tower with a hub height of 93 meters or as a hybrid tower with a height ranging from 123 to 143 meters. With these heights, the hybrid tower of the wind power plant overtops natural obstacles, providing optimal yields even on difficult terrain.

4.2) Aerodynamically Optimized Rotor Blades:
To ensure lower sound emissions, the REpower 3.2M114 is equipped with a specially designed rotor blade, the aerodynamically optimized RE 55.8. According to REpower construction principles this onshore wind turbine also comes in a spacious design to make each component easily accessible for maintenance.

5) REPOWER'S MM WIND POWER SYSTEM:
5.0) Our MM Wind Power System for Low Wind Locations:
The tried-and-tested MM range now features a new wind power system model for low-wind locations: the MM100. Based on the concept of its predecessors, the MM82 and MM92, it combines the experience and expertise we have gained through the installation and operation of more than 2,000 of these wind power systems. With a swept rotor area of 7,854 m2, the REpower MM100 was optimized specifically for use in low-wind (IEC IIA) applications, and comes with hub heights ranging from 78 to 100 meters.

5.1) We Offer the Right Wind Power System for Any Wind Class:
Every market has its unique requirements, which is why the MM100 wind power system was developed specifically for low-wind locations. With its large rotor diameter of 100 meters, the system provides customers with the highest levels of energy generation possible with low wind speeds.
The REpower MM100 was originally developed for the North American wind market and, up to now, has only been available as a 60 Hz model. With its high capacity factor, it has proven its worth there, as it can achieve a nominal power of 1.8 megawatts with low wind speeds, a key benefit at locations with limited grid entry capacity. Unlike in the US, output optimization for the available space carries more weight in Europe than the consideration of limited grid entry capacity, which is why we offer the MM100 with 2.0 MW in Europe rather than the 1.8 MW available in the US.

Thanks to its low sound power level of 104.8 dB(A), it is one of the quietest systems in its class and therefore better suited for use on onshore wind farms.

6) REPOWER'S MM92 WIND TURBINE.
6.1) Our Best-selling Wind Turbine Model - The MM92 for Medium and Low-wind Locations:
The reliable gearbox and generator technology of the MM82 is also the basis for the MM92 wind power plants. With a diameter of 92.5 meters its rotor is significantly wider than that of its precursor, enabling the wind turbine to deliver a nominal power of 2.05 megawatts even at a wind speed of only 12.5 m/s. This makes the MM92 ideal for locations with medium or weak winds (IEC IIA to IEC IIIA) and helps to reduce the cost of wind power generation.

6.2) Award-winning Technology, Regularly Checked:
REpower gears keep your operating costs low by been designed to last. Even after many years of heavy duty, our components will show almost no signs of wear. With regular quality assur-ance and the permanent monitoring of our wind turbine models, REpower guarantees maximum reliability.

In acknowledgement of the fact that all MM series wind power plants fulfill Germany's stringent grid connection requirements, REpower is the first manufacturer of wind power plants to have been awarded the Unlimited Unit Certificate – the official proof of the flawless grid compliance of our wind turbine models.

7) REPOWER'S MM WIND POWER PLANT
7.0) The MM Wind Power Plant for High-wind Locations:
The technological concept of the 1.5 megawatt MD series with its variable speed generator drive converter system and electrical single-blade adjustment (pitch system) has proven reliable for years. Reason enough for us to transfer this technology to the next generation of wind turbines. As a result, the whole MM series - MM82, MM92 and MM100 – is every inch as reliable as their precursors. The figures speak for themselves: Of the more than 2,000 MM wind turbines we have installed worldwide 95 percent are running safely – and still using their original gear.

7.2) 82 m Rotor Diameter, 5,281 m2 Rotor Surface:
The success story of the MM series wind power plants began in 2002 with the MM70 model, which has been the basis for the development of the MM82. With a rotor surface of 5,281 m2 the 2.05 megawatt wind turbine has been designed for maximum energy yields in high-wind locations. Available in hub heights from 59 to 100 meters the wind power plant is especially suitable for height-restricted locations. In order to ensure the long-term supply of wind energy, REpower wind turbines are made of lightweight standard components. This makes our wind power plants easier to transport and operate. To make maintenance and inspections as safe and efficient as possible, REpower nacelles are designed spaciously and ergonomically.
