Molins de vent Tarragó: Windmill in Portugal
Montblanc, 25.01.2012. Pinto & Filho, found in 1989 and based in Tortosendo, has been now commercializing the TARRAGÓ windmills for almost 10 years. Further brands under the umbrella of this extended agriculture-industrial service oriented company are: Aixam, Husqvarna, Oleo-mac, Triunfo/Kubota, Itolub, Massey Ferguson (since 2005) and Mazda (since 2007).
The windmill (cataventos, as known in Portugal) acquired is the model M1806, usually installed in gardens, summer residential homes and in decorative areas. This small windmill of 1800 mm rotor and 6 meters lattice tower pumps water to a maximum depth of 20 meters, starting functioning even with breezes. Its peculiarity relies on its easy installation: it is shipped with one single box of 3060 x 540 x 390 mm and it is only 350 kgs heavy.
