AMBAU Windservice and PowerWind

Bremen: AMBAU Windservice GmbH has successfully supported PowerWind GmbH in the installation of a 2.5 MW wind energy unit in Bremerhaven. The prototype of the PowerWind 90 was erected on the company premises of PowerWind GmbH at the beginning of December 2010.

As with previous collaborative ventures in Italy, the individual construction stages went hand in hand – from installation of the towers to the assembly of the gondola and fitting of the rotor blades.

AMBAU Windservice GmbH Managing Director Olaf Dostalek: "Once again, PowerWind and Windservice have proven their strength as a team. The poor weather conditions encountered during part of the project were certainly challenging. Now, however, we are all highly satisfied with the smooth running of the operation and look forward to further exciting projects with PowerWind in the future."
