Ryse Energy receives cash infusion from RWE Energy Transition Investments
The investment will enable Ryse Energy to accelerate its international growth, penetrate previously untapped markets, expand its technology offerings and further diversify its energy-as-a-service business model.
Ryse Energy manufactures high-performance small wind turbines and offers a range of other renewable energy systems, including solar and energy storage. The company has manufacturing facilities in the UK and Spain, and sales offices in the US, Europe, UAE and India.
Ryse Energy's renewable energy systems can be deployed as stand-alone technologies, grid-connected or off-grid systems with energy storage, or as hybrid systems to create customized and reliable hybrid renewable energy solutions. The company is active in a wide range of sectors, from decarbonization of critical infrastructures such as telecom, oil and gas grids, to marine and agricultural applications, to municipal energy supply for rural electrification.
“RWE is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world and we are thrilled to have them as our lead investor and strategic partner,” said Alistair Munro, CEO & Founder of Ryse Energy. “This investment will enable us to accelerate our growth and expand our product offering, while continuing to deliver innovative decentralized renewable energy systems to our customers around the world, at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions and client energy costs.”
Costas Papamantellos, Managing Director & Head of RWE Energy Transition Investments, added: “We believe that Ryse Energy has the potential to be a major force for good in reducing greenhouse gas emission in remote locations, and providing reliable and sustainable energy access to the over one billion people who currently do not have access globally. We look forward to working with Ryse Energy and supporting its growth and expansion.”
In particular, regions and communities that still rely on diesel generators for power supply are the focus of growth. The aim is to give more people access to energy and to ensure the supply of critical infrastructures such as healthcare and telecommunications. In addition, the company will hire new employees worldwide to meet current and future demand.
