Finnish wind power production increased by 41 percent in 2022
According to the electricity statistics of the Finnish Energy, the production of Finnish wind power increased by 41 percent last year compared to the previous year. In 2022, 14.1 percent of Finland’s electricity consumption was covered by wind power.
Finnish wind turbines produced 11.5 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity in 2022. During the year, the electricity consumption of the whole of Finland was a over 80 TWh, and wind power covered 14.1 percent of this. 16.7 percent of electricity production was covered by wind power. The amount of wind power production increased by as much as 41 percent compared to the previous year.
