Port of Hanstholm signs letter of intent with European Energy
The Port of Hanstholm has taken the first step towards becoming Europe's first CO2-neutral fishing port. This ambition has been cemented in a letter of intent that the Port of Hanstholm has signed with the Danish developer of renewable energy, European Energy. In addition to solar and wind energy plants, the company wish to establish a Power-to-X plant to produce e-methanol and hydrogen at the Port of Hanstholm.
At the Port of Hanstholm, there is a prospect of rich activity on the 130,000 m2 large area, which a large-scale expansion over recent years has added to the harbor.
