German wind repowering potential at a glance with just three clicks
Just three clicks to the result: The detailed repowering potential for almost 28,000 onshore wind turbines with a capacity of 300 kW or more in Germany
This is what the new Business+ Edition of the G.A.M.E. Wind Onshore Database offers, which will be launched 2021-12-01 in cooperation with the renowned wind energy experts planGIS and GEO-NET.
In addition to the expert check for taboo zones and regional planning wind areas the possible annual yield in MWh of a new type of wind turbine is calculated for each wind farm - in three different construction heights taking into account average wind speeds and Weibull factors. This provides an overview of attractive locations and potential business opportunities at a glance. It includes information on the current operator and owner plus contact details.
G.A.M.E. CEO Urs Neuhöffer says: "With the extended data model of the Business+ edition the market players now have a holistic database at their disposal, offering a picture of the structures of onshore wind energy with just a few clicks - online and with permanent maintenance of all data."
The Business+ Edition will be available from 2021-12-01. The data of all federal states will be unlocked at the end of January 2022.
