Nexans officially opens its transformed high voltage subsea cable plant in Charleston, South Carolina, United States, to supply the rapidly expanding U.S. offshore wind market, with potential growth of 13% annually by 2030, generating up to $70 billion of capital investment and adding 20 GW of power per year.
Nexans announced today the opening of the first U.S. based subsea high voltage cable facility in Charleston, SC,. It is the only facility in North America with such capability. From the Charleston facility Nexans will deliver subsea cables up to 525kV HVDC and 400kV HVAC, covering the full range of needed products for export cables for offshore wind and subsea interconnectors.
