M-PT: Battery series MB-RAD Offset for hard-to-reach bolts

Some components of the wind turbines have unique and narrow constructions that do not allow the use of straight tools on the bolted connection. With the axially offset gearbox of the battery series MB-RAD Offset, otherwise inaccessible bolting spaces can be easily reached. With a repeatability of ± 2,8% and a torque range of 30-7.000Nm, the MB-RAD Offset enables reliable and documented bolting - even with challenging designs.

High demands on tall towers and in production

Due to the constant optimization of wind turbines, fitters work at ever greater heights - sometimes well over 100m above the ground. The MB-RAD Offset is based on the MB-RAD (MAD) series and therefore has all the functions that make the battery series MB-RAD (MAD) so powerful and user-friendly. Thanks to the brushless electric motor, shut-off according to torque/angle and limit value monitoring, the MB-RAD Offset works extremely precisely and is even up to 60% faster than a hydraulic torque wrench. At the same time, the low weight of the battery-powered torque wrench, compared to hydraulic torque wrenches with a power pump, makes it easier to transport and use on the wind towers. The MB-RAD Offset can be used reliably at ambient temperatures down to -20°C without warming up. The tool can optionally be equipped with data logging or a torque check program for maintenance work.
