Paris turning point: net zero targets would bring warming to 2.1°C
If all national governments meet their 2050 net zero emissions targets, warming could be as low as 2.1°C by 2100, putting the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C limit within striking distance, according to new calculations by the Climate Action Tracker. However, all eyes are now on their 2030 Paris Agreement targets, all of which need to be considerably strengthened to get national emissions onto a net zero pathway.
