Eurus Energy Inaugurated Its Eurus Ishinomaki Wind Farm in Japan
It's the Group's first wind farm in the Miyagi Prefecture where the opening ceremony took place last Friday in the city of Ishinomaki in attendance of local and construction officials.
The wind farm, located on the ridge of Mt. Jyobon and Mt. Kagobo, comprises six 3.4 MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines, is largest turbines placed in Japan so far. All generated energy will be sold to Tohoku Electric Power Co., Ltd.
Commercial operation has already started in December last year. The power plant will supply about 10,000 households with green energy and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by about 19,000 tons annually.
