Prysmian secures a new project in excess of €100 M for offshore wind farm grid connections in the UK
Awarded by EDF renewables, the contract confirms Prysmian’s leading role and capability to support the growing renewable energy industry.
Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, has been awarded a contract worth in excess of €100 million by EDF Renewables for the development of submarine and land power cable systems to connect the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm to the Scottish mainland power grid. The NnG offshore wind farm, located 15.5 km off the Fife coast, will generate 450 MW of green and renewable energy to supply clean and cost-competitive power to around 375,000 Scottish homes. “Following the ...
