Largest Wind Turbine in the World Erected

GE Renewable Energy and rotor blade specialist LM Windpower have announced on Twitter that they have successfully built the prototype of the world's largest wind turbine: The HaliadeX-12 MW is now standing tall in the port of Rotterdam.

The third 107 meter long rotor blade was installed there today. Now, on-site work teams will carry out the further commissioning steps to collect the data required to obtain a type certification next year.
