World's Biggest Wind Turbine Nears Installation

The Haliade-X 12 MW is the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world to date, featuring a 12 MW capacity (the world’s first), a 220-meter rotor, a 107-meter blade designed by LM Wind Power, and digital capabilities. In addition to being the biggest offshore wind turbine, the Haliade-X will also be the most efficient of wind turbines in the ocean.

As the company stated on Twitter. the tower sections of the turbine have now been loaded and shipped to its prototype site in Rotterdam (Netherlands). The four segments were loaded at tower manufacturer GRI Renewable Industries' site in Sevilla and will be arriving in the Netherlands before the end of the month.
