Project 'GODESS' Gets EU Funding

The European Union is the latest backer of Akselos’ cutting edge technology, with the award of a €1.4 million research grant to the tech pioneer and engineering partner, LICengineering, to optimize the design of offshore wind turbines.

GODESS (Global Optimal DEsign of Support Structures) is a breakthrough project that aims to maximize efficiency in the design process, with a view to ultimately lowering costs to the consumer – often cited as the main barrier to uptake of wind power.
