Wind Industry Profile of
Rebranding at REETEC
Following EDF's recent announcement of the international rebranding of EDF Energies Nouvelles subsidiaries in around 20 countries to EDF Renewables, the brand is now gradually being adapted. This also applies to REETEC, a manufacturer-independent service provider for wind energy on- and offshore. The company based in Bremen, Germany, offers a comprehensive portfolio, including electrical engineering, grid connection, electrical and mechanical assembly, operation and maintenance (O&M) services, rotor blade and tower services, major component replacement, qualification and training to aviation obstruction markers.
In line with the EDF Group's goal of doubling renewable energy capacity in France and worldwide by 2030, EDF Energies Nouvelles is continuing to expand in its core markets of France, Europe and the USA. In addition, they want to expand to markets with high development potential, such as Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.
In order to acknowledge REETEC's long tradition and its position as an established service provider, the new brand will therefore bear the name REETEC EDF Renewables in the future. OWS Off-Shore Wind Solutions, acquired by REETEC, will take over the new brand from next year.
