'Red Wind' for Russia

Red Wind will take care of marketing, sales and delivery of the turnkey wind turbines and their after-sales support. In addition, the Joint Venture (JV) is to identify potential suppliers for the NovaWind manufacturing plant in Volgodonsk and to qualify potential candidates. The current plan envisages the delivery of 388 wind turbines in Russia by 2022.

NovaWind is Rosatom's division responsible for renewable energies in the Russian energy group.

Dutch company Lagerwey provides its Russian partner with their technology and know-how for wind power plants with 2.5 MW and 4.5 MW. This also includes personnel training for the construction of wind turbines and the operation of wind farms.

“This Agreement is a result of a consistent consentive work, performed by our joint team since the License Agreement has been signed. The document reinforces our mutual commitment to the success of the wind energy program in Russia. Now I can definitely say that we have all the competences in place required to launch the Russian wind industry basing on the second to none technologies with the strongest team of managers”, stated Alexander Korchagin, the CEO of NovaWind.
