Vestas to Enter Russian Wind Energy Market

Russia wants to start tapping onshore wind power and has therefore held some renewable energy auctions recently.

Now Fortum-RUSNANO has chosen Vestas as their supplier for onshore wind turbines. Vestas needs to build manufacturing facilities in Russia in order to comply with local requirements first.

Dutch manufacturer Lagerwey has also been named as a supplier for some Russian wind energy projects by ROSATOM.
