Certex UK invests in Hull
The booming offshore industry is creating jobs. Since Siemens has decided to set up a new plant for offshore wind turbines in Hull on the east coast of England and created 1000 new jobs, the entire region has become the focus of the industry. Now supplier Certex UK moves to and opens an office in Hull as well as a base for its service work. In addition, the company plans to make long-term investments in the region.
Certex is one of the leading suppliers of products and services in the area of ??rope and lifting technology and currently has 47 service centers in 12 European countries.
The new base is of fundamental importance for the company's growth plans in the offshore wind energy market. The Hull site is designed to coordinate the work that ensures that all turbines and safety devices comply with UK legislation. For Certex, it will be the eighth location in the UK.
“We are really pleased to be expanding the business into Hull, especially during this significant year for the city,” says Jim Donelan, Business Development Manager at Certex UK. “Providing jobs and training to the local workforce is important to us as a business, and we are confident the Hull community can support us in our service to the wind industry and other businesses in the area.”
