NAVANTIA builds jackets for top turbine from Siemens

The jackets are designed for Siemens' most powerful turbines, the SWT-7.0-154, which are then installed in a demo offshore wind farm in the north-west of Denmark, in a fjord near the North Sea and near Thyborøn harbor.

The Nissum Bredning wind farm is an offshore project, which is shared by Nissum Bredning Vindmøllelaug (55%) and the local energy supplier Jysk Energi (45%). The project is financially supported by the Danish Ministry of Energy and is a good opportunity to test a range of new key technologies in the offshore wind sector in a controlled and small environment.

The jackets are to be delivered mid-year.
