Tentec will have an increased presence at Husum Energy 2012 and its bolt tensioning equipment, including the new foundation tool, will be displayed on a large, custom-built booth #8A14 at the Show.

The new tensioner has been developed to fit the latest designs of European foundation bolting systems and features increased stroke, spring return and each tool is supplied complete with a fitted gearbox. Alongside the established Aero range of tensioners, specialists, including Hannelore, will be on hand to discuss how they can provide customized solutions for specialized applications. With an experienced in-house engineering team, Tentec is one of the few companies able to design, manufacture and supply bolt tightening tools tailor-made to meet specific requirements, all within the time constraints demanded by the industry.

In addition to its single bolting tools, Tentec has designed, manufactured and supplied Multi-Stud Tensioning (MST) tools that enable a number of bolts to be tightened simultaneously, improving productivity. Applications for these MST tools include wind turbine gearbox manufacturers.

And finally, Tentec will be introducing its recently launched Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) certified bolt training courses and qualifications for the Wind and Renewables industry. The basic training units cover the use of bolt tightening tooling, assembly of components, joint verification and quality paperwork, while additional courses include other aspects of bolting operations including risk assessment, method statements, isolations, interpretation of drawings and flange management. For those operators using Tentec equipment, there are specific modules covering the correct use of Hydraulic Nuts and Tentec’s popular BTS – Bolt Tightening Software.

Tentec’s experienced trainers can offer the courses either at the Tentec training facility in the UK or onsite – anywhere in the world. Come along to the Booth to discuss these courses in more detail.
